GWR 0-6-0ST No.1501 re-entered traffic in September 2012 (following its last overhaul) and it is hoped it will remain in traffic until the end of its boiler ticket in 2022. However funds are always required to keep the locomotive in traffic and to pay for its next overhaul.

Special Announcement

The Association now has an account at "". This should enable the Association to receive donations from Amazon when members purchase things from Amazon. The intention is for 0.5% of the purchase price on eligible purchases to be donated to the Association by Amazon, at no cost to the Association or the purchaser. Members need to make purchases through and link the 1501 PTA charity to their account.

Membership of the 1501 Passenger Tank Association is open to all and can be obtained by making a donation of at least £25 (correspondence by Email) or £50 (correspondence by post). Anyone making such a donation will receive a Certificate of Interest as reconition of their contribution.
